  • Description

Qualitative research on the information behavior and information needs of homeless patrons can improve the services that public libraries offer, especially when designed to address local needs. This paper presents the results of a statewide survey of homeless individuals in Oklahoma pertaining to reasons for using--or not using--public libraries, ways to increase ease of library use, information and service needs of homeless patrons, and sources of crisis information for homeless patrons.
